Estoril Open is the top tennis tournament in Portugal. I had the chance to be there again this year, among great friends. This time I had my DSLR with me. So I joined two passions in one event: Tennis and Photography. Being sports photography I had to work with high shutter speeds (around 1/1000 sec) so I could freeze the action. For the late afternoon matches, I had to up the ISO a bit to capture enough light. I used mostly a 70-200 f4 lens with image stabilizer. For some matches when I wasn’t allowed to use it, I resorted to my 17-85 lens f4-5.6. Yes, if you can, go for the 70-200. You can reach more into the action, while getting some very interesting depth of field.
