On Saturday morning, the following topics were discussed:
• What to include in your photography kit
• How to pack your travel suitcase
Saturday afternoon was reserved for viewing and editing each participant’s best project pictures, using Adobe Elements. This is a very practical tool, and takes care of most your basic editing needs, without going into the more complex world of Photoshop.
On Sunday morning, we discussed some business aspects of the photography business, namely how to approach potential clients, and how to negotiate. In the afternoon, Nuno gave us three pages filled with market contacts. Something few teachers do, and of great value.
In short, this workshop was worth every cent. Restart has great premises, the teacher was excellent, the content very rich, and the colleagues great. I’d do it again. In fact, I’m doing it again, sort of. Next Saturday I will start a new Workshop on Travel Photography (in Portuguese), once again with globetrotter Nuno Lobito in charge. More about it on posts to come.
