For three years now, I’ve been covering Portugal’s biggest tennis tournament (Portugal Open) for Tennis.com. It is a job I do with much excitement, because it brings together two of my favorite activities: Photography and Tennis.
This year was no exception. For a week, I spent my days running between the courts and the Press Center, transferring, editing, and sending the day’s images.
Some time after the event, I got an email from VidaSana, a Puertorican magazine, asking if they could use one of my images of an upcoming player, Monica Puig. I of course said yes, and it made the cover of the magazine, as you can see.
This was my first ever cover, and it is a great privilege to see my work recognized abroad.
What I take from this is, keep doing what you love, and the rewards will come.
